"I decided to draw a side view of the brain and divide it into some of its main lobes. Each lobe (divided by color) has one or two symbols that represent one of the functions it does. For example, the temporal lobe (red) is in charge of processing auditory information, so I drew an ear to represent that. The cerebellum (purple) has a drawing of a girl balancing on a ball to show balance." |

"The artwork illustrates a depiction of a patient with Alzheimer's disease, and the efforts of a neuroscientist trying to "piece back" the missing memory that the disease had previously destroyed." |
