The temporal lobes are located on the sides of the brain, toward the bottom (behind your ears). The temporal lobes contain the primary auditory cortex, which is important in interpreting information regarding sound.
FunctionsThe temporal lobe is primarily involved in processing auditory information, producing and understanding speech and language, and interpreting other sensory input. It also works with other regions of the brain to coordinate movement and control emotion
