The parietal lobe is one of the major lobes in the cerebral cortex, and it is located behind the frontal lobe and in front of the occipital lobe. The right hemisphere of the parietal lobe is associated with spatial perception, while the left hemisphere is associated with symbolism.
FunctionsThe parietal lobe processes sensory information, location, and acts as the center for somatic senses. It also works with other regions of the brain to analyze visual information and coordinate movements.
