The cerebrum is the principal region of the brain, and it accounts for 85% of the brain. Located in the front part of the brain, it is divided into two halves, or hemispheres. It is divided into different lobes, such as the frontal lobe, parietal lobe, temporal lobes, and occipital lobe.
FunctionsThe cerebrum is responsible for higher cognitive processes in humans, such as thinking, planning, voluntary activity, and language. It also controls senses, perception, reasoning, and emotion.
